This online book features 1,247 vibrant engravings--many in color--from the classic 1918 publication, as well as a subject index with 13,000 entries. Banner ads are found at the top of the pages, but the illustrations are from the 1918 publication.

This resource was developed for students at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, but could serve as a helpful resource for anyone enrolled in a college or secondary school course in Human Anatomy & Physiology. The welcome page provides information on permissions for usage.

A project of the National Library of Medicine, the Visible Human Project provides access to cross-sectional images of the human female and male. Sample images are available free of charge.
