Find Full Text Articles

This guide will show you how to find the full text version of an article (if available) using Dana Health Sciences Library resources.

What is Interlibrary Loan?

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service that gets articles, books, etc. that UVM does not own from other libraries. For example, if you need an article and the library does not own the full text, you can submit an ILL request and we will get a copy of the article for you from another library.

How to Submit an Interlibrary Loan Request

Filling out an Interlibrary Loan request is fast and easy. Just follow these steps:

Step 1. Go to the Dana Health Sciences Library homepage

Step 2. Click on the green Request Articles/ILL button

Step 3. If you have a UVM Net ID and password, sign in and create an account by clicking on the “Net ID Users” button. If you do not have a UVM Net ID and password, click the “All Other Users” button.

Step 4. Click on New Request and select the appropriate format

Step 5. Enter information about the item you are requesting on the request form. Please include as much information as you can.

Step 6. Click on the Submit Request button.

You will be notified when your item has arrived.  If you ordered an article, there will be instructions in the email about how to download a copy of it.  If you ordered a book, you can pick it up at the Main Desk in the library.
