CDAE 250: Applied Research Methods - Conner (Fall 2022)

A guide to using library resources for your literature review.

Ways to find the full text of an article

After finding an article of interest in "Academic Search Premier" or another library database, you'll want to see the full text. Here are three options:

  • Look for a "full text" or "PDF" link within the database.
  • If there's no link, click the "Find it at UVM" icon: Find it@UVM
  • If the icon does not take you to the article, go to the library website (library.uvm.edu) and click the green button labeled "Journal Titles." Type the full name of the journal title and click "Search" to determine if UVM owns the journal and the year you need. (It might be in print form in the library.) Remember, type the name of the journal, not the article title.
  • Still no luck? Ask a librarian!
