Classic Library Catalog

Because CATQuest has such a broad reach into multiple information sources, we had to give our library catalog a new name, so we now refer to it as the Classic Library Catalog.  The catalog shows you which books, videos, and periodicals UVM owns, whether in print (hard copy) or electronic format.

Cambridge Online Histories

Several works on the history of music , music theory, and music performance are available online via Cambridge Online Histories (remote access: UVM affiliates only).

Oxford Music Online

Oxford Music Online (remote access: UVM affiliates only) is the premier reference work for the study of music and musicians, with additional emphasis on opera and jazz. It "comprises the full text of The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, second edition, (2001), The New Grove Dictionary of Opera, (1992), and The New Grove Dictionary of Jazz, second edition, (2002)." It has full-text biographical information about composers, performers, and other prominent individuals in the world of music. Biographical entries typically include an outlined narrative of a subject's life, a list of works, writings, and bibliography.
