Search for Books in the Howe Library

The Library Catalog locates books, journals (not articles), microfilm, dvds, cds, and U.S. documents (1976->) owned by the UVM Libraries. There are two versions of the catalog: the Classic Library Catalog and CATQuest version. Each version has its advantages and disadvantages.

Use either version of the Library Catalog to check whether the Howe Library owns the book.

What If the Library Doesn't Own What I Need?

Obtain the item through Interlibrary Loan.  Borrowing a book through Interlibrary Loan (ILL) takes about a week, so plan accordingly. See the "Interlibrary Loan & Document Delivery" page (in this guide) for more information.
