To find books using the Library Catalog is more challenging for this assignment, so…
Starting Points: Background Information: Use Encyclopedias and Dictionaries listed in the guide to familiarize yourself with your selected religion, and to learn new and interesting things.
Find books and book chapters by using the bibliographies at the end of the essays in these encyclopedias (see above). Need help with figuring out citations? See How to Read a Citation. You might also consider taking this brief interactive tutorial Reading & Working With Citations.
Community Profile Resources: Visit the website for your church/place of worship to find out more about that particular “congregation” or membership. Note that most, if not all, will have links to the “national” headquarters.
Then, use the Library Catalog part of CATQuest to help you find books on your own. See Books. If you find this challenging, contact me directly or visit the reference desk for help.
