Earning CME with UpToDate Anywhere (link for UVM affiliates only)

By registering with UpToDate and logging in on their site, you can earn CME credit just by searching UpToDate.

Register with UpToDate and create a username and password from a browser on the UVM or FAHC network. Once you have the username and password, you can log in from any computer through the Log In button in the upper right of the UpToDate screen. If you provide your UVM netID as your UpToDate username, and use EZProxy to access UpToDate from off campus, you will be logged in automatically. Otherwise, be sure to log in with your UpToDate username and password before searching so you'll earn the CME credit.

See Earning CME/CE/CPD Credit with UpToDate for more information.

Mobile

Mobile apps are available for Android and iOS for UVM and FAHC affiliates. See "Maintaining Access to UpToDate Anywhere", below, for more information on using the mobile app outside the UVM or FAHC wi-fi networks.

Maintaining Access to UpToDate Anywhere

In order to continue using UpToDate Anywhere through the mobile app, without the proxy server, or to earn CME credit, all users need to sign into it from the UVM or FAHC network, proxy, or gateway at least once every 30 days to verify that they are still authorized users. If you have been off campus for more than 30 days (for example, if you have been on a clerkship, or are preceptor faculty), you will need to sign in through EZProxy or the FAHC gateway in order to reactivate your UpToDate account. You do not have to be on campus to do this, and can use any web browser (including on a phone or tablet). You cannot reactivate your account through the UpToDate mobile app if the 30 days have expired.

UVM Affiliates

Visit the Dana Library web site at http://library.uvm.edu/dana and click on UpToDate, sign in to EZProxy with your UVM netID and password (if prompted), and make sure that your name appears in the "Licensed to:" line at the bottom of the UpToDate screen. If your name does not appear, click on the Log In/Register button at the upper right and log in with the username and password you set up when you registered with UpToDate. You should now be all set for another 30 days. If you run into any problems, please contact us for help.

FAHC Affiliates

Log in to the FAHC remote gateway, connect to UpToDate, and log in with the username and password you set up when you registered with UpToDate. Check to make sure that your name appears in the "Licensed to:" line at the bottom of the UpToDate screen. If it's there, you should be all set for another 30 days. If you run into any problems, please contact the FAHC help desk at (802) 847-1414 for assistance.
