About Funding to Publication

What is it?  Funding to Publication is a series of workshops designed to help researchers, such as graduate students, postdocs, junior faculty, fellows, and clinical researchers with different aspects of the research and publishing process.  For example, participants will learn how to efficiently search the literature, find funding opportunites, and manage any data generated. 

Where is it?  Dana Medical Library Classroom

When is it?  The series runs from September 9 - October 8 on Tuesdays from 12 noon to 1:00 pm.  Each session is repeated the next day on Wednesday from 12 noon to 1:00 pm.

How do I sign up?  Just fill out the Registration Form and select the workshops that you would like to attend.  Your registration will be complete after you submit the form, but if you'd like to double check that it was processed, please contact Gary Atwood at gatwood@uvm.edu

Finding Grant Opportunities: The Search Process
September 16 & 17

Learn how to use Pivot to identify potential funding opportunities, set up automated funding alerts, and find collaborators.  We will also highlight other grantsmanship tools available for UVM faculty and students.

Managing References With EndNote
September 23 & 24

Learn to create an EndNote library, download and organize records from online databases, and insert citations directly into a manuscript.  Designed for new EndNote users.

The Simplified Data Management Plan
September 30 & October 1

Examine the recommended elements of a data management plan and review resources at UVM that can help with data management planning. Sample data management plans will be provided.

Learn how to find and evaluate journals for publishing your research. Attendees should bring a research topic of interest to the workshop.
