Library Locations for Music

  • 1st Floor of Howe: Media Collections (DVDs, VHS video, CDs). Lots of great lists!
    Our collection of online sound recording includes the following:
  1. Music online: American music
  2. Music online: Classical music library
  3. Music online: Contemporary world music
  4. Music online: Jazz music library
  5. Music online: Popular music library
  6. Music online: Smithsonian global music sound for libraries
  • 1st Floor: Reference Collection. Look for call numbers beginning with M, ML & MT. Please note the Library Use Only status of these books.
     
  • 2nd Floor: Periodicals, Microfilm and -fiche. Current issues (less than 1 yr. old) of periodicals are filed separately from back issues.
     
  • 3rd Floor: Music scores, biography (ML410), history, theory, instruction, and more. Many scores are shelved as QUARTO volumes (oversized), so if you're browsing be sure not to miss this section.
