Animal Science

Introduction

Animal science is an aspect of biology that deals with domestic animals. The program applies to farm, laboratory, zoo, and companion animals; their interaction with human soceity; and the contribution of animal products, such as milk and meat, to the world food supply.

At UVM, in additional to general studies in animal science, there are concentrations in three areas:

  • pre-veterinary science
  • equine science
  • dairy production
